Antique Timber, Flooring, Cabinetry & Joinery

All our Antique timber floors are truly bespoke. Each one is designed and manufactured to fit individual rooms or settings.

The raw material is one hundred to four hundred years old and reclaimed by ourselves. Naturally, it is from a pool of diminishing resource and requires painstaking work to revive and restore the original patina.

From raw material to finished product, all work is done by hand. It is a heavily time consuming process requiring crafted knowledge and skill to match individual commissions for colour, texture, movement and finish.

At an early stage we need to understand the timescales involved in a specific project.

Such originality carries a commensurate price ticket and, before we embark on any project, we discuss costings and budget to ensure every aspect is fully appreciated. From this point we are then in a position to develop hand made samples for final selection.

Whether a traditional, period or contemporary setting, these floors require the right area in terms of scale and style to bring out the best in them.

Our flooring designs are produced working from supplied room plans. We are able to lay out the finished product in our Sawmill for final viewing before dispatch to anywhere in the world – our plank floors are numbered and indexed to tally with each area’s drawing for clarity of final installation.

Over time, we have met many a frustrated individual unable to take on the full scale and cost of these original floors – yet so wanting that elusive “Antique look”.

As a result, we now have a number of alternative Antique Original Faced or Antique Faced floors that are equally beautiful and still hand made – but not so price prohibitive.
